Nuevo Blog! 20/02/10
Hey guys! Hope you guys have been having a good week. This week has been pretty crazy for me! I’ve been working a lot on the memoir that I’ve been working on, and it can be pretty challenging since I’m not used to writing and thinking about myself as much as I have to with this book lol. It’s really cool though because a lot of the things you may have forgotten about in your past start to come back when you start thinking hard and a lot about events and memories you have back there in your brain that might be a little rusty. They’re still there though, you just have to really take some time to ponder haha. It’s been challenging with all the other things we’ve had to do with the project too, but I’m looking forward to seeing how everything comes together at the end and sometimes it’s good to challenge yourself farther than you may normally be used to!
Other than the book, I’ve also been working on some more writing and recording this week. I got to spend more time with Eman this week and I’m really pumped about the song we finished writing! I also recorded another song a few days ago at his studio which I think has a great message to it. I haven’t been able to get into music as much this week with all the work I’ve had to finish with the book, but I’ll be kickin’ back into gear next week back in LA.
So now I’m back in Miami, and I’ve had such an awesome experience here! I was able to be a part of the Spanish We Are the World project “Somos El Mundo” and it was really great! Emilio and Gloria Estefan got the project together, and they along with their staff are some of the nicest people you could ever work with. This is the first time they’ve ever done this song in Spanish, so I’m really glad to have been a part of it with so many talented Latin artists. I love it when people come together to help out, because it really is amazing how much strength comes when people come together. It was neat being able to help in the Hope for Haiti telethon and see how much good came from everyone coming together to unite to help the people in Haiti. There’s power in numbers. The damage happened so quickly in Haiti, and now they need to recover from all that has happened there. I was watching the news last night and saw that Kris Allen went out to Haiti to help out. I thought that was so cool. I really look up to him for all that he does for other people. I know that he’s done a lot of missionary work in a lot of different places and countries, and I think people should do things like that more. Even if you aren’t able to go to a different country, you can still help by sending donations to good causes, or help out the people who may need your help even in your own country, state, or town.
Being at the Somos El Mundo recording yesterday was my first time being around and meeting so many Latin artists. I was pretty nervous with the interviews and being new to that crowd, but it was really fun at the same time and a lot of really nice people. It was good to see PeeWee there, and Ednita Nazario was incredibly nice! Jon Secada, Cristian Castro, Ricardo Montaner, Chayanne, Thalia, and Luis Fonsi were some of the people there. I was like in shock and thought I was going to pass out when I met Luis Fonsi lol. He’s such an amazing singer. The video will premiere on Univision March 1st on Cristina. She’s a very popular Hispanic talk show host if you aren’t familiar with her. She was there yesterday as well, and it was crazy seeing her there because she’s just one of those people I never thought I’d get to meet. I remember watching her when I was little. But anyway I’ve written enough for today, so I will talk to you guys later! Ciao!

Hola muchachos! Espero que ustedes hayan tenido una buena semana. Esta semana fue una semana de locura para mí! He estado trabajando mucho en mis memorias en las que estado trabajando, y puede un poco desafiante ya que no estoy acostumbrado a escribir y pensar sobre mi tanto como lo estoy haciendo ahora con este libro lol. Es muy cool porque muchas de las cosas que tú te hayas olvidado sobre tu pasado empiezan a volver cuando empiezas a pensar fuerte y mucho sobre todos los eventos y memorias que tú tienes que recordar en el cual puedes no tener por falta de práctica. Ellos son todavía allí aunque, así que tu tienes que tomar realmente algún tiempo para reflexionar haha. He sido desafiante con otras cosas que tienen que tienen que ver con este proyecto también, pero espero ver cómo todo sale todo al fin y a veces es bueno tener desafíos por que te llevan más lejano que lo que uno puede ser hacer normalmente!
Otra cosa que hice aparte del libro, también he estado trabajando esta semana en seguir escribiendo mas y continuar grabando. He estado mas tiempo con Eman esta semana y estoy muy contento de a ver terminado de escribir una canción! También grave otra canción a se pocos días en el estudio el cual tiene un mensaje muy bueno. Pude ser parte del proyecto de We Are the World” que “Somos el proyecto de Mundo ” y fue realmente una gran experiencia! Emilio y Gloria Estefan consiguieron el proyecto juntos, y ellos junto con su personal son parte de las personas más agradables con las que tu podrías trabajar. Esta es la primera vez que he hecho esta canción en español, así que estoy súper contento de haber formado parte de el con tantos talentosos artistas latinos. Me encanta cuando la gente se reúne para ayudar, porque es muy sorprendente cuánta fuerza viene cuándo las personas se reúnen. Fue muy bueno poder ayudar en el teletón Esperanza televisado para ayudar a Haití y ver cuántas cosas buenas vinieron de todos, reuniéndose para ayudar a las personas en Haití. El poder de los números. El daño sucedió tan rápidamente en Haití, y ahora ellos deben recuperarse de todo que ha sucedido allí. Mire las noticias anoche y mire que Kris Allen fue a Haití para ayudar. Eso fue algo extraordinario. Yo realmente lo admiro por todo lo que él hace por otras personas. Other than the book, I’ve also been working on some more writing and recording this week. I got to spend more time with Eman this week and I’m really pumped about the song we finished writing! Hey everyone!
So I've had a pretty awesome week! I was able to get some time to go down to Florida and help Jordin Sparks out with her charity called Jordin Sparks Experience. It was a really neat experience! What made it even better is that I had my mom come down with me. The event was in Miami Beach and I was born in Miami, so it my mom and I were so happy to go back haha. But it was so great because Jordin and I finally got to sing together!! We sang No Air, which is pretty difficult to sing haha. Jordin is such an incredible singer though! I can't believe I got to sing that song with her. At first when I found out she wanted me to sing that song with her I was thinkin', "Uh..." lol because it's such a hard song to sing and I thought I would look like an idiot trying to sing that song with someone who sings that good. It was a real privilege though getting to sing with someone that talented and who sings with that much emotion, and they're close to my age. But yeah it was a fun event and Jason DeRulo, Chrisette Michele, this amazing 9 year-old pianist Ethan Bortnick, and Sam Moore were there as well, and they were all great people.
Oh man so while I really enjoyed getting to go to the event, I felt like such a loser because my cheek was like a balloon! It was swollen, but there was nothing I could do to hide it. So I just had to deal with all the pictures and cameras and not let it get to me lol. At least I'll be able to tell where the pictures were taken, because if my cheek is swollen in any of them it means I was on my Florida trip in the beginning of February, 2010. While we were down there though we were able to go to the Miami Children's Hospital, and it was great getting to meet the kids there. The only thing that made me feel uncomfortable were all the cameras there lol. Not just for my cheek but just how we wanted to focus on getting to talk and meet with the kids. But Jordin was able to ask the cameras to leave once we went to visit the individual kids in rooms to put the focus on them, and it's cool to see how much Jordin cares about those kids.
While I was at the hospital, I was able to get checked on for my swelling haha. So I was able to get some antibiotics for the infection that I had. I think it had to do with my 12 year molars which are FINALLY coming in now that my wisdom teeth are finally out. But it's all good because it's almost back to normal! I can hardly see it anymore. Sometimes you wonder why things like that happen, but it helps you appreciate what you have more and not take it for granted.
Another thing we got to do while we were down there was meet with PeeWee Salinas. We became friends with him when we met him at Nuestra Navidad, and it was good hanging out with him. He's a Latino artist so if you aren't familiar with his stuff you can listen to "Quédate." I heard it on the radio while we were down in Miami which was cool haha. Something that PeeWee, my mom and I got to do was go to the Owl City concert! haha. It was a really fun one to watch and all the band and crew are super nice people. Lights opened up for Owl City and she is one of the friendliest people I've met. She is the one who reminded me that while my face was swollen, it will help me appreciate my normal face more lol. But she's really talented! She has an electronica vibe and you guys should check he rout.
All right, the last thing I did in Florida was visit family!! I got to spend time with mi abuelita, cousins, aunt and uncle and it was just so great. I love getting to see family and spend as much time as I can with them! It was even great driving around with them and going to Wal Mart lol. But I didn't want to leave, and my mom didn't either. It just gives us more reason to go back though. So I'm hoping to go back again soon. I'm proud to be born there haha.
This week ahead is back to writing! I had my first day with Lindy Robbins and Matt Squire yesterday and it's off to a great start! I just felt really comfortable with the song and felt like I wasn't worrying about trying to impress someone or be anything else. I'm excited for the day when everything's ready to get the album out for you guys to listen to the new stuff! But I better leave now because as you can see I can write until your eyes fall out. But thanks everyone for your continued enthusiasm about this next project! I will talk to you guys later!

Hola Todos!
He tenido una semana maravillosa! Tuve la oportunidad de ir a Florida y ayudar a Jordin Sparks con su caridad Jordin sparks expirience. Fue una agradable experiencia. Lo que la hizo mejor fue que mi mama estaba conmigo. El evento era en Miami Beach y yo nací en Miami entonces mi mama y yo estábamos felices de regresar jajá. Pero fue tan bueno porque Jordin y yo por fin cantamos juntos!! Cantamos No Air que es una canción difícil de cantar jajá. Pero Jordin es una cantante increíble! No puedo creer que pude cantar esa canción con ella. Cuando me di cuenta que ella quería que cantara esa canción con ella pensé, "Uh".... lol porque es una canción tan difícil de cantar y pensé que me iba a ver como un tonto al tratar de cantar esa canción con alguien que canta tan bien. Fue un gran privilegio poder cantar con alguien tan talentosa y que canta con mucha emoción y que está cerca a mi edad. Pero bueno fue un evento muy divertido y Jason DeRulo, Chrisette Michele, el pianista Ethan Bortnick de 9 años, Sam Moore estaban ahí también y son gente muy buena.
Mientras yo disfrute tanto del evento me sentí como un perdedor porque mi mejía estaba como un globo. Estaba hinchada y no podía hacer nada para esconderla. Así que tuve que lidiar con las fotos y las cámaras y no dejar que me afectara. Por lo menos voy a poder decir donde fueron tomadas la fotos porque si mi mejía esta hinchada en una foto se significa que es del evento que tuve en florida a principios de febrero del 2010. Mientras estábamos en Florida tuvimos la oportunidad de ir al hospital de niños de Miami y fue muy bueno conocer a los niños. Lo único que me hiso sentir incomodo fueron las cámaras que habían ahí lol. Per Jordin pudo pedirle a los camarógrafos que se fueran una vez que empezáramos a visitar a los niños por cuartos para solo concentrarnos en ellos y es lindo ver como a Jordin le importan esos niños.
Mientras estaba en el hospital pude ser atendido por lo de mi mejía hinchada jajá. Y me dieron unos antibióticos para la infección que tenia. Creo que esto fue por mis molares de 12 años que por fin están saliendo gracias a que me saque los dientes de la sabiduría (terceras muelas) . Pero todo está bien ya estoy volviendo a la normalidad. Algunas veces uno se pregunta por qué pasan estas cosas pero te hacen apreciar lo que tienes y no desaprovecharlo.
Otra cosa que pude hacer estando en Miami fue encontrarme con Pee Wee Salinas. Nos hicimos amigos cuando lo conocí en el programa de Univisión Nuestra Navidad y fue bueno encontrarme con el. El es un artista Latino aso que si no estas familiarizado con el puedes escuchar su canción "Quédate" la escuche en la radio mientras estábamos en Miami. Algo que hice con Pee Wee y mi mama fue que fuimos al concierto de Owl City jaja. Fue muy divertido verlos y todos ellos fueron muy amables. Lights abrió el concierto y fue ella la que me recordó de mi mejía hinchada, esto me ayuda a apreciar mas mi cara normal lol. Pero ella es muy talentosa, tiene una vibra electrónica y ustedes deberían escucharla.
Lo último que hice en Florida fue visitar a mi familia, pude pasar tiempo con mi abuelita, mis primos, mi tia y mi tio y fue muy bueno. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia lo mas que pueda!! Hasta fue divertido andar en el carro con ellos e ir a Walmart lol. Pero no me quería ir y mi mama tampoco. Pero nos da más razones para regresar. Quiero regresar muy pronto y estoy orgulloso de haber nacido ahí.
Esta semana volveré a escribir! Lights opened up for Owl City and she is one of the friendliest people I've met. She is the one who reminded me that while my face was swollen, it will help me appreciate my normal face more lol. But she's really talented! She has an electronica vibe and you guys should check he rout.
All right, the last thing I did in Florida was visit family!! I got to spend time with mi abuelita, cousins, aunt and uncle and it was just so great. I love getting to see family and spend as much time as I can with them! It was even great driving around with them and going to Wal Mart lol. But I didn't want to leave, and my mom didn't either. It just gives us more reason to go back though. So I'm hoping to go back again soon. I'm proud to be born there haha.
This week ahead is back to writing! I had my first day with Lindy Robbins and Matt Squire yesterday and it's off to a great start! I just felt really comfortable with the song and felt like I wasn't worrying about trying to impress someone or be anything else. I'm excited for the day when everything's ready to get the album out for you guys to listen to the new stuff! But I better leave now because as you can see I can write until your eyes fall out. But thanks everyone for your continued enthusiasm about this next project! I will talk to you guys later!

Hola Todos!
He tenido una semana maravillosa! Tuve la oportunidad de ir a Florida y ayudar a Jordin Sparks con su caridad Jordin sparks expirience. Fue una agradable experiencia. Lo que la hizo mejor fue que mi mama estaba conmigo. El evento era en Miami Beach y yo nací en Miami entonces mi mama y yo estábamos felices de regresar jajá. Pero fue tan bueno porque Jordin y yo por fin cantamos juntos!! Cantamos No Air que es una canción difícil de cantar jajá. Pero Jordin es una cantante increíble! No puedo creer que pude cantar esa canción con ella. Cuando me di cuenta que ella quería que cantara esa canción con ella pensé, "Uh".... lol porque es una canción tan difícil de cantar y pensé que me iba a ver como un tonto al tratar de cantar esa canción con alguien que canta tan bien. Fue un gran privilegio poder cantar con alguien tan talentosa y que canta con mucha emoción y que está cerca a mi edad. Pero bueno fue un evento muy divertido y Jason DeRulo, Chrisette Michele, el pianista Ethan Bortnick de 9 años, Sam Moore estaban ahí también y son gente muy buena.
Mientras yo disfrute tanto del evento me sentí como un perdedor porque mi mejía estaba como un globo. Estaba hinchada y no podía hacer nada para esconderla. Así que tuve que lidiar con las fotos y las cámaras y no dejar que me afectara. Por lo menos voy a poder decir donde fueron tomadas la fotos porque si mi mejía esta hinchada en una foto se significa que es del evento que tuve en florida a principios de febrero del 2010. Mientras estábamos en Florida tuvimos la oportunidad de ir al hospital de niños de Miami y fue muy bueno conocer a los niños. Lo único que me hiso sentir incomodo fueron las cámaras que habían ahí lol. Per Jordin pudo pedirle a los camarógrafos que se fueran una vez que empezáramos a visitar a los niños por cuartos para solo concentrarnos en ellos y es lindo ver como a Jordin le importan esos niños.
Mientras estaba en el hospital pude ser atendido por lo de mi mejía hinchada jajá. Y me dieron unos antibióticos para la infección que tenia. Creo que esto fue por mis molares de 12 años que por fin están saliendo gracias a que me saque los dientes de la sabiduría (terceras muelas) . Pero todo está bien ya estoy volviendo a la normalidad. Algunas veces uno se pregunta por qué pasan estas cosas pero te hacen apreciar lo que tienes y no desaprovecharlo.
Otra cosa que pude hacer estando en Miami fue encontrarme con Pee Wee Salinas. Nos hicimos amigos cuando lo conocí en el programa de Univisión Nuestra Navidad y fue bueno encontrarme con el. El es un artista Latino aso que si no estas familiarizado con el puedes escuchar su canción "Quédate" la escuche en la radio mientras estábamos en Miami. Algo que hice con Pee Wee y mi mama fue que fuimos al concierto de Owl City jaja. Fue muy divertido verlos y todos ellos fueron muy amables. Lights abrió el concierto y fue ella la que me recordó de mi mejía hinchada, esto me ayuda a apreciar mas mi cara normal lol. Pero ella es muy talentosa, tiene una vibra electrónica y ustedes deberían escucharla.
Lo último que hice en Florida fue visitar a mi familia, pude pasar tiempo con mi abuelita, mis primos, mi tia y mi tio y fue muy bueno. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia lo mas que pueda!! Hasta fue divertido andar en el carro con ellos e ir a Walmart lol. Pero no me quería ir y mi mama tampoco. Pero nos da más razones para regresar. Quiero regresar muy pronto y estoy orgulloso de haber nacido ahí.
Esta semana volveré a escribir! Ayer tuve mi primer día con Lindy Robbins y Matt Squire y fue un muy buen comienzo me sentí muy cómodo con la canción y sentí que no estaba tratando de impresionar a nadie. Estoy emocionado por el día en el que el álbum esté listo para que ustedes escuchen las cosas nuevas. Pero mejor me voy porque como pueden ver yo puedo escribir hasta que se les caigan los ojos! pero gracias por el entusiasmo que tiene hacia este nuevo proyecto y hablamos luego!

Si mis queridos lectores hoy se va David de Honduras a su pais natal de Estados Unidos... la buena noticia es que va a ir a trabajar en su tercer album :D. pero las buenas son que David dio su testimonio y hablo conlos jovenes acerca de como el ha triunfado y cumplido sus sueños. Al final de la charla algunos afortunados fans le diern la mano a David. De acuerdo con la descripcion que mi amiga David tiene los ojos mas bellos del muno y una sonrisa hermosa !! sigan visitando la pagina para mas actualisaciones de la visita de David a Honduras.
